The Connected is my first novel.

So many of our wars and conflicts are stemming from our differences in what we believe, religious, political or otherwise. And most of those beliefs are based on faith with very little actual cold, hard facts supporting that faith.

But what if someone came to us and presented us with a fact that made our way of life absurd. And this fact showed that physically we were all connected to each other. A war in a country halfway around the globe or a starving women in Africa had a very real chance of directly affecting our lives in the future.

The Connected takes us on the journey of two men whose destinies are bound to collide and the outcome will change the world, for better or worse.

Currently I am working on my second novel, tentatively titled MUCKYDUM.

The story is about an eccentric old college professor who becomes obsessed with the reasons around a student’s suicide and is convinced that he should have seen the signs. As he immerses himself into trying to discover what made the boy kill himself, ghosts and demons from his own past begin to haunt him and his world starts to cave in. The story moves back and forth from the present to the future as we learn about the professor’s past, how it has affected his future and what he does to find peace.

The story is a departure from the science fiction/speculative field for me. But if you have read my short stories on this site, they can hardly be considered from the sci-fi genre.

Many of the stories I plan on getting down on paper some day are of the speculative field. I wouldn’t really consider myself a science fiction writer, as very little actual science fact is involved in my stories. But they can definitely be termed futuristic.

However I do have other stories to write outside these genres, the first being Muckydum.
